The Economics of Getting a Person a Job

It costs $250,000 to run SOAR (Our Job Training Program).
300 people are trained in the progam each year.
Over the past five years the graduation rate has been 82% and we have been able to place 191 men and women or 76% of those graduates in jobs at an average wage of $10.41 per hour or $21,625 annually.

$250,000/191=$1,308

It costs the Urban League $1,308 per person to first train an individual how to get a job, and then help him or her to secure employment.

23 Gifts of $60 each will pay to help ONE person get a job.
